Awards & Career Highlights
This multi-ethnic group was formed a few years ago and was better known
for their “girl talk” radio show. Within the first year, The Dorothy Milone
Radio Show was nominated as best in Washington, D.C. The steady
appearance requests on both sides landed the girls smack dab in the middle
of the music scene. The dedication to
maintaining a positive image and climbing the ladder to success has
remained constant within the group.
Followers love to hear Dorothy Milone’s occasional cover songs on their
Instagram. So much that they’ve received shout outs and
encouragement from several national artists including Aubrey O’Day of
Danity Kane and Grammy nominee Ari Lennox.
Dorothy Milone likes to use the hashtag #DM not just for their name but to
show that they “do more”. The girls love to perform and get involved with
people and organizations that are giving back to the community.
Dorothy Milone is an ambassador to the “Streetz Blunt Truth Tour”. This
tour combines performances with discussions in high schools to target
violence among the youth, particularly in relationships. Dorothy Milone
discovered the number of young women experiencing violence by the hands of their boyfriends is staggering. Hopefully middle schools will be
added to the tour dates too.
Dorothy Milone continues to stand out as the girl group similar to Destiny’s Child with a
diverse twist. Follow their journey on your favorite social media platforms
and discover why “there is power in unity”.
